Once we have learnt a little bit about your dog via phone or email, a home visit is scheduled to fully assess and get to know your dog.

Hind's Hounds has gained a Professional Diploma in Dog Walking and has been trained in Canine First Aid so that you can be assured that your dog is in safe hands.
Daily Group Walks
Hour or half hour long morning and midday walks are offered on weekdays with pick up and drop off from your home. Walks can be arranged on an ad hoc or regular basis. The aim is to build up a strong relationship between us and your dog and to maintain a harmonious pack. No more than 5 dogs are ever walked in a group.

Solo Walks
These are sometimes preferable for more fearful dogs, for bitches in season or for puppies who are building up their recall skills and up to the duration of an hour long group walk. Once we are satisfied that puppies are ready to go off lead with a group walk we can introduce them to the older group.

Puppies
For very young puppies we offer a pet visit service where we come round to play, let them out for their business, feed them and begin to build a bond with them until they are ready for short walks. Then in collaboration with you, we will walk them on the lead for the appropriate amount of time for their age, eventually working on their recall and your commands.

At Hind's Hounds we aim to make a difference to how your dog behaves which will help you control them and achieve the outcome you need. Our methods are simple and easy to follow and we do not use adverse equipment or techniques.

Hind's Hounds has been trained in Puppy Training and Dog Behaviour and Psychology.

Puppy Training
A one to one training session gives you advice and learning specifically catered to you and your new pup. We show you, the owner, the right skills and understanding to train your puppy daily without them even knowing they are learning something useful, and doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Puppy training should be on-going every day, so listening to you becomes a normal part of their daily life.

Dog Training
One to one training sessions catered specifically for you and your dog. Each dog is individual and may suffer with problems relating to nervousness, aggression, basic obedience and more.

Puppy Visit
Hind's Hounds is available for puppy visits, where we can feed them, and clean up any messes and still ensure there is time for play. Ask us about our tailor made puppy care service.
Perhaps your puppy is struggling settling in for the first couple of weeks…. we can pop in at odd intervals throughout the day and reassure your puppy that he/she is ok and life isn’t too scary!

Whatever your needs are we can make a plan to suit both you and your puppy.

Once your puppy has had both injections, we can then take your puppy out for walks. Walks are great for socialising and teaching your puppy, as well as helping to stimulate their minds and give them the exercise they require. Puppies need much less exercise than fully grown dogs. If you over exercise a puppy you can over tire it and damage their joints.

Pet Sitting
Hind's Hounds offers small pet visits. If you are going away, whether it is just for the day, overnight or a holiday we can pop in and care for any small pet. We will come to your house and ensure food and water is provided for, litter boxes/hutches are cleaned and still have time for a quick cuddle or play. You can determine the amount of visits needed in a day and your pet can have a stress free time while you are away.

I am a keen runner and regularly run with my own dog and compete in running events.
​
Regular exercise is critical for your dog’s mental and physical health; it can help reduce behavioural issues and relieve anxiety and stress. For some dogs a regular dog walk just isn’t enough. Highly active dogs need at least thirty minutes of hard aerobic exercise, ideally daily.
​
Each of our sessions are tailored to the individual needs of your dog, customising for distance, location, stamina and pace. Don't worry if your dog isn't great on the leash as this is a work in progress for most dogs and something we will address during their running session.

All running sessions include a warm up and cool down .
